RULES OF CONDUCT & DISCIPLINE FOR STUDENTS

Students must abide by the following rules of discipline of the college. Any breach of discipline will compel a student to accept such punishment as the authority will deem fit.

  • Students should be courteous to teachers & office staff and amiable to fellow students.
  • Students must not enter or leave a class-room, when the class is on, without the prior permission of the Lecturer in Charge.
  • A class is collectively responsible for the conduct of its members.
  • Students must not indulge in any noisy or disorderly conduct in college premises. They must not loiter on lounge or gossip in the corridors & must not make a noise when waiting for another class.
  • Smoking in the college campus in strictly prohibited.
  • Student must not disfigure the walls of the college or damage the college property or write anything indecent or indecorous on the black boards or mutilate library books & periodicals.
  • Impersonation at Roll Call is considered a grave offence.
  • Any kind of malpractice or undisciplined conduct during college or Public Examinations will be treated as gross violation of college discipline.
  • Students (both Boys & Girls) must scrupulously observe decorum in their behaviour.
  • Any discourteous behaviour towards a member of the opposite sex shall be considered a serious offence & the offender may be punished with heavy fines or immediate expulision from the college.
  • Any obscene & offensive conduct within the college premises or any activity prejudicial to the academic life & atmosphere of the college is punishable offence.
  • Ragging in the education institution, in any form, is prohibited by law and if anyone is found to be guilty of ragging, he/she will be liable to punished under the provisions 4, 5 and 6 of W.B. Act XIII of 2000.
  • Students also must observe the rules & regulations that may be issued from time to time by the college authority.
  • Use of cell phone is restricted to Common Room, Student Union Office and College ground only.
  • Every student shall have to attend minimum 75% of classes both in theory and practical.
